This one was overall rather funny. Was a bit hard to hear a few of them, but all and all the style and voice worked very well together. And props for the cunt joke xP Few dare to go there for some reason. And if someone does, it's generally too far, or none at all.

mattyburrito responds:

thanks for watching man, and I'd say I can probably only get away with it cuz the audio's already from a game and prerecorded haha

Was overall quite amusing. In terms of the animation I mean, going that's what we're reviewing here :P
Found it funny you made them very kobold-esque. Fits with the voice they were given xP

Rigamarole responds:

Today I learned what a Kobold was. Also thanks for the review bud!

Again, it's still kinda disjointed, and sorta swaps theme in between each "episode". Like it's not sure what it wants to be. It feels like there could be something here, just not sure what it's trying to be :P

It's both a good and a bad thing. Want to see where this goes. But think that it so far has been very... split, so to speak, in what it's doing.

CraveintheBox responds:

Here was my idea: CM is traumatized after being raped and everything goes shitty for her. She then meets Lina (who saves her) which appears to be as a "friend" but later they gradually develop feelings and it becomes more intimate (kind of developing into a semi-porn-hybrid). But the CM's main objective is to find Pudge and to kill him. As you already seen in Episode two, they are talking about upgrading their items to kill Pudge. But to get TO Pudge, there will be lots of obsticles, like Dirge (which you see in episode 3) and probably noob-Clinkz who just keeps appearing all the time like a rat. It is sort of a dramatic love story of approximately 7 episodes. Imagine DotA from the player's point of view - it's usually just a mechanical game without any feelings with a sole purpose of winning. Now imagine that the camera (from the player's sort of view) zooms INTO the world of DotA which becomes alive. The heroes become characters with personalities and each of them have their own agena (CM wants to get revenge, Lina wants to kill heroes and seduce CM plus she wants to help CM, Pudge is just hungry for meat, Dirge is a badass "Terminator" who just kill all the living, Clinkz is just a nitwit who tries to steal kills, Dragon Knighs just keeps farming to become strong and polish his own ego).

All of these agendas will be gradually revealed throughout the story. This mini-season of Heroes of Dota is about one game of Dota2: both teams are trying to win, ofcourse. My intention was to add a deeper level to this series - not just your corny Dota2 parodies, but I guess it's harder than I thought it would be. For the series to convey its deeper meaning, I gotta release many more episodes which are longer - with more dialogues, etc.

As I wrote in my reply of HoD_001 - there are all of these aspects that you constantly need to be aware of - even in the structure of the story. And you need to prioritize that. If I include too much story, I have to sacrifice the actions/comedy/? scenes - but it will add this meta level to it. So, I don't regret anything that I have created so far. Rather than not attempting at all, I am constantly making "mistakes" (even that is hard to define in the world of art) and learning from them. HoD is my experiment - I made the episodes very impulsively without overthinking too much.

Right now I feel like taking a long break from it and eventually get back to it, if there will be demand for it or if I feel like it. My goal was to pause HoD Season 1 and make a pilot to HoD Season 2 which will have a completely different story (very very different). In season 2 the main focus is on the players and their rage towards each other. It will be action comedy with lots of player conversations. Hint: "From Russia with Flame"

A little slow/disjointed start, but it could be interesting. Would have to see where it goes.

CrabbWalker responds:

Thanks for watching!

It did drag on a little, but most of them were kind of amusing. And while most were rather "unisex" like the "I swallow" one, it felt like there could have been more/better "female" ones. Then again, there's not really any exclusively male ones either. But most felt more geared towards males. But eh. That's fine really. Would just have been more fun with a bit of extra variation. At least it wasn't entirely one sided I guess :P

tonyfamous responds:

I had a lot more, but I know what you said about it dragging on a little, so I basically went with the best ones I had out of a bunch more and then I had almost no time to draw it to get it in before today ( Valentines Day ) so it was a bit of a rush. Also, I just talked everything out ( no script ) before I started animating so I had to make everything fit the length of my dialogue. I probably could have made it funnier, but I really didn't have enough time.

Has pet reptile.
